the past few weeks at the firm have been fairly laid back... until today. i'm doing some legwork for a 01.23 trial date. which actually is 3 years to the day after the ashes played a freezing gig at workplay... less than a year later we started working on the record. now, over two years later, we are within one guitar track of being completed. and we've already mixed half the record. it's not gonna be " ok compute r", but i promise that there will be an interesting sonic statement or two. but for the most part, it's just catchy folk rock. no biggie. thanks for the kooky comments though... the weekend after i got back from los angeles, ashby and i holed up in the studio for 16 hours during friday and saturday recording and re-recording most of the lead vocals on the album. this means that some vocal parts have now been recorded three and four times. and others were recorded for the first time. that first friday back in town, i met up with leah so that we could ...
