so... i decided it wouldn't be prudent to go to nyc for new year's this year, although i REALLY wanted to. last year i was in los angeles and it was a blast... see last year's post... so this year my BGFF and i, jessi-co, decided to throw a party...
SOMEWHERE.

after talking to venues and people with lofts and whatnot, we got into a discussion with jessica's friend rebecca... one thing led to another and rebecca set us up with the powers that be at bottletree...
fast forward a few weeks later... we have promos, a street team of sorts, a band, dj, photographers both roaming and set up at a sexy lookin' booth... champagne, suprizes, video and a THEME.
the 80's...
it was without a doubt, one of, if not the best NYE parties in birmingham... and for that matter... probably the entire state. special thanks to nathan (both of them) sarah leah miller, the performers, bottletree and my momz for coming out to party with us for a few hours. over 200 bham patrons were devastated by our retro 80's block rocking prowess.
oddly enough... a lot of my friends bailed... and i actually barely noticed.
1-shawn 0-friends i still love them, although i feel kinda bad for them.
the way nowhere squares looked and sounded the second they started playing was worth the price of admission. now i'm going shopping.
here's my new year's eve flickr gallery... older events, and events yet to happen, are included.
