the through the sparks boys along with john paul keith, their former lead singer... played about 3 hours of incredible stones covers sat. night at innisfree (sp?). nikolauus did a great job pulling off the jaggar moves and vocals. he also showed a lot of soul, not just rock posturing.
we drank too much and got silly towards the end. i was surrounded all of my womenfolk buddies. i'm the poster child for the men and women can be friends movement.
hot stuff. innisfree. who would have guessed? even pate made an appearance. we managed to get a photo for the "pointing series" as well. i think the band went under the name tumbling dice, but i'm not sure. big props to jpk for coming in from memphis to play this show them. people wonder why through the sparks was the only alabama band chosen to go to sxsw this year... i think the reason is obvious.
