on this, the 30th anniversary of the passing of a fat man from tupelo... i offer up this fitting eulogy. he, elvis... is often called the king of rock n' roll. well i've got news for you people. rock n' roll is dead too. it probably died in the 70's. maybe it died with lennon, the true king of rock n' roll. it doesn't matter. it's all gone.
we now get to spend the rest of eternity in a post rock ironic depression. one positive note; elvis was a great gospel singer, and he did some great pop songs too - every time i hear little sister on the radio, i turn it up. but i digress... here's the eulogy, courtesy of 90's rock band, living colour:
