a non-linear hyper-cycle summary of events:
returning again to brooklyn, too much walking in manhattan, a loud post-halloween - halloween party, nice friends, great food, sore muscles... a very surreal taxi driver experience... groovy sun rise, packed subways, every girl on the island wears boots & tight jeans, every building posts an obama poster, every human wears an obama shirt, confusing train lines, crazy packed halloween parade, obsessive runners, a intimate look into the silicone industry, good vibes, lots of coffee, a froto scenario on smith street - a year later, fast walking, loud talking, beautiful leaves changing in central park, lunch with old friends and new. manhattan is a mall. brooklyn still has soul, and real buildings.
some insane halloween costumes around nyc

i went to the metro museum for the 1st time in 5 years and got to finally see my favorite art installation on earth.
here's a summary of the women's race, and photos.
alison is going back next year to kick ass and chew gum. i bet she'll forget to bring the gum. too many interesting things going on in my life to bother blogging about right now. nobody reads this anyway. have a great autumn.
this week i'm waiting on my modded mic preamp from the sputnik era. happiness is recording a novation k station bass line through a 1957 dukane amp. its a black thing, you wouldn't understand.

p.s. - my thoughts re: the election:
“ Today, reality in America has superseded fantasy. … Americans have struck a deadly blow to racism all over the world. Americans have regained themselves and have regained the American dream. The picture of the U.S. that was disfigured by the Republicans in the past eight years fell from the wall today. The picture of the America we had in our minds has taken its place.” — Prominent Saudi columnist Dawood al-Shirian.
